WIEKUS DU TOIT

Wiekus Du Toit started his Legal Career in Nelspruit over 45 years ago. He was the Founding Director of Du Toit-Smuts and grew this Law Firm to the largest in Mpumalanga. He remained the Senior Director until his resignation. In 2010 Wiekus decided to focus his legal practice on select clients, providing specialist service from his newly established Law Firm, Wiekus du Toit Attorneys,

re-branded to WdT Attorneys Inc in 2019. He has a reputation for being one of Nelspruit’s finest Commercial Attorneys, specializing in the drafting of complicated Agreements, specialized Commercial work and Conveyancing. He has assisted in a number of Land Restitution Transfers.

Wiekus holds the following qualifications:

  • BIur degree from the University of Pretoria in 1976.
  • Attorney, Notary and Conveyancer with the Right of Appearance in the High Court.
  • Professional Valuer in terms of the Property Valuers Profession Act.

FRANCOIS DU TOIT

Francois obtained his LLB degree from the University of Pretoria at the end of 2010, whereafter he joined the Pretoria Law firm of Couzyn Hertzog and Horak to serve his articles. Francois was admitted as an Attorney in February 2013 and thereafter joined the WdT team. He specializes in High Court Litigation, with specific focus on Civil and Commercial Litigation, with the Right of

Appearance in the High Court. Francois also has a keen interest in Alternative Dispute Resolution and has been involved in various arbitrations. Born in the Lowveld, he has an understanding of the community and is an invaluable attribute to advising and assisting his clients.

MSIZI DLAMINI

Msizi obtained his LLB degree from the University of Johannesburg in 2012. He did his articles in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands at Ngwenya & Zwane Attorneys and was admitted as an Attorney in the KwaZulu-Natal High Court in 2014. In 2016 he relocated to Mbombela and joined Madonsela Mthunzi Attorneys and ran their Litigation Department.

In January 2018 Msizi joined the Litigation Team at WdT Attorneys. During his tenure as a Litigant, Msizi has done a substantial amount of Litigation work for Government Departments and also represented various Municipalities in KwaZulu-Natal and Mpumalanga. Msizi is involved in various matters, including Mediation Matters relating to Land Claims in terms of the Land Restitution Act.

NILUFER KHAN

Nilufer obtained her LLB degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2013 and was admitted as an Attorney in 2015 with the Right of Appearance in the High Court. She is also admitted as a Conveyancer and joined WdT Attorneys in 2022. She was appointed as Director in July 2024

The people we employ remain the backbone of our Legal practice. We strive to keep staff-turnover as low as possible, which means that our staff becomes acquainted with you, your demands and expectations. Our support staff are well deployed in the Conveyancing, Bond Registration, Litigation and Commercial departments.

YVETTE JANSE VAN VUUREN

Yvette obtained her LLB (Cum Laude) from the University of the Free State and was awarded the Merit Award from the Faculty of Law for Academics 2006 to 2009 by the University of the Free State. Admitted as an Attorney, Notary and Conveyancer in 2011. She was a Director with Thomson Wilks Inc (Sandton, Gauteng) and relocated to Mbombela in 2021, when she joined this practice in the Property Law Department as a Conveyancer and Notary. She inter alia assists with Commercial Property Financing transactions.

CHARNÉ ALLKIN

Charné Allkins obtained her LLB degree from the University of Pretoria in 2011. She was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2014. Her experience is primarily in Litigation with emphasis on High Court Litigation. She is part of the Litigation Team at WdT Attorneys.

NONDUMISO MAKWAKWA

Nondumiso obtained her BPharm degree in 2014 at the University of Witwatersrand. She is an experienced Pharmacist who has worked in both the public and private sector for 8 years. She obtained her LLB from the University of South Africa in 2022 and joined the Litigation Department at WdT Attorneys Inc.

Nondumiso was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court in February 2025.

Murray White

Murray obtained his BA Law degree from the University of Pretoria in 2021 and his LLB degree from the same university in 2023. He joined the Litigation Department at WdT Attorneys in 2024 to complete his Contract of Articles.

Sicelo Gumede (LLB)

Sicelo obtained his LLB from the University of South Africa in 2019. Shortly after obtaining his degree he worked as a Legal Administrator for the South African Police Service until the end of 2024. He joined the Litigation Department at WdT Attorneys Inc in January 2025 to complete his contract of Articles.

Amahle Maphumulo (LLB)

Amahle obtained her LLB Degree from the University of Pretoria in 2024. She joined the Litigation Department at WdT Attorneys in 2025 to complete her Contract of Articles.

Support

Thapelo Mogane

Thapelo initially joined WdT Attorneys as an Administrative Clerk. He has elevated himself and has commenced Legal studies and is at present in the Property and Conveyancing Department, where he is exposed to the local Deeds Office and has an extremely good and cordial relation with the Examiners (Senior and Junior) as well the Registrar of Deeds and his Assistants.
